A $5.2 million, 9-month project has allowed the Lakes Region Mental Health Center to consolidate four operations into one downtown Laconia location this past year. The private, nonprofit organization, formerly known as Genesis Behavioral Health, is one of 10 community mental health centers in the state. It serves Belknap and southern Grafton counties and provides emergency services around the clock.
The renovated building at 40 Beacon St. East, will house 150 employees, and with the consolidation of its services, the organization aims to provide improved patient care and more operational and financial efficiency.
