Belknap EDC Announced 2019 Board of Directors

Belknap EDC is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to the Board of Directors: Bill Bald, Melcher and Prescott Insurance President, Dr. Larissa Baia, Lakes Region Community College President and Jeanie Forrester, Tilton Town Administrator. Directors provide leadership and direct our mission to promote economic vitality and opportunity in Belknap County. Chris Kelly, ReMax Bayside Realty Owner, will serve a second year as Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

William Bald, Melcher and Prescott

Bill Bald serves as President of Melcher & Prescott Insurance. His extensive experience of more than 30 years in the insurance arena, includes healthcare and employee benefits insurance focuses. He is a member of United Benefit Advisors and sits on multiple insurance company advisory boards and holds memberships in several area non-profit organizations.

Larissa Baia, Lakes Region Community College

Dr. Larissa Baía brings over 15 years of higher education experience to her daily work as President of Lakes Region Community College. She serves on a variety of local and regional committees and boards with professional interests in the areas of student success, mental health, immigrant and refugee advocacy and internationalization of the curriculum.

Jeanie Forrester, Town of Meredith

Jeanie Forrester serves as a Selectman in Meredith and is the Town Administrator in Tilton. Prior to that, she served in the NH Senate representing District 2 from 2010 to 2016. She has a background in economic development and business and serves on multiple boards and committees. She and her husband own an environmental technology company and reside in Meredith.
