Gilford Village Store: A Belknap EDC Success Story

Craig and Kristin Jordan, well-known for their popular establishment, Jordan's Ice Creamery, have taken a significant step in expanding their business horizons by purchasing the historic Gilford Village Store.

The Jordans have built their reputation by offering not only delicious ice cream but also a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages customers to feel like part of the family. With their new acquisition, they aim to carry that same spirit into the Gilford Village Store, which has been a staple in the area for many years. The couple sees this as an opportunity to blend their passion for local service with the store’s rich history, ensuring that it remains a vital part of the community.

Their vision for the store includes a diverse range of products, from everyday groceries and household essentials to unique local goods that celebrate the area's artisans and producers. The Jordans plan to add their famous ice cream to the shop, with hopes to even add in an ice cream window in the future. Their goal is to create a shopping experience that resonates with residents and attracts visitors.

Craig and Kristin are excited about this new chapter in their entrepreneurial journey. They understand the importance of keeping the essence of the Gilford Village Store intact while also injecting their own vision and energy into it.

As they embark on this venture, they express their gratitude for the support they have received from the community, and to Belknap EDC for their help with financing a portion of the purchase, along with the team at Bank of New Hampshire.  Craig and Kristin look forward to building lasting relationships with both new and returning customers. With their dedication and enthusiasm, the Jordans are poised to make the Gilford Village Store a thriving hub for shopping and community connection.
